Executive Director of the Performing Arts Center and Fine Arts Programming

As I transition into the full time role leading the performing arts center and fine arts programming for Lexington School District Two, I am thrilled for what this facility and programming will bring to the students and community of Lexington Two.  As a graduate from the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, I grew up immersed in the arts from a young age.  I had the opportunity to see this modeled by my father as he has led a long career as a musician.  This provided me with the first hand accounts of just how instrumental the arts can be in opening doors for powerful opportunities in the real world.

After graduating high school, I pursued a degree in education from the University of South Carolina and I taught at Horrell Hill Elementary School prior to moving to Lexington Two to serve as assistant principal at Claude A. Taylor Elementary School.  I then spent two years as assistant principal at Springdale Elementary before serving five years as principal of Saluda River Academy for the Arts.  During my tenure at Saluda River, I was provided the opportunity to lead fine arts stakeholder groups, cohorts, and initial planning committees for the L2PAC.

As we continue to make progress towards completion of the 1,550 seat performing arts center, I am eager to see our students' talents showcased and see the Lexington Two community continue to foster a rich arts culture.  I look forward to partnering with our schools, staff, students, and community as we work together to provide access and opportunities for the arts in Lexington Two.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance.

Thank you!
