The end of the school year is weeks away, and families are planning how their students will spend their summer break.
Our schools are rolling out their summer camp offerings. Here is a sampling; check back after spring break for information on athletic camps being offered by our high schools.
Fine Arts Summer Camp: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. June 1-17, Monday-Thursday, with the student showcase on the final day. Slots in each arts area are limited. Click on this REGISTRATION FORM for cost and other details and discounts. Enroll by no later than April 30. The camp will be held at the Lexington Two Performing Arts Center on Platt Springs Road.
Archery Camp: Learn the National Archery in Schools Program. 9 a.m.-12 p.m. June 1-4, Monday-Thursday in the gym at Saluda River Academy for the Arts. For rising 4th-6th grade students. Click this link to register and get details about cost.
Braiders 101 Camp: Led by Lexington Two Innovation Center cosmetology instructor Sherkeria Elkins. 8 a.m.-12 p.m. June 8-11 (Monday-Thursday) at the Innovation Center. Email selkins@lex2.org for additional details and to register.
Fire & Flavor Culinary Summer Camp: Led by Lexington Two Innovation Center culinary instructor CeCe Parker,this two-week camp (Monday-Thursday) for rising 8th- and 9th-grade students will focus on building foundational kitchen skills while giving students the opportunity to actively cook each day. 8 a.m.-12 p.m. June 1-4 and June 8-11.
