During the first week of March, our school celebrated Read Across America Week! Students who were "caught reading" were awarded a reader's swag bag filled with reading goodies. Mystery readers were shared each day reading excerpts from different middle grade titles, and students were able to phone in to guess the mystery reader (any adult who works at FMS) and be rewarded a prize for the class. Students, faculty, and staff also dressed up in theme related spirit days to show that Reading is an Adventure.

8th Grade Science students worked applied listening, problem solving, critical thinking, and analysis during this annual DNA CSI investigation of a pretend crime scene. Students applied the skills they learned during their Genetics unit in science class to help "catch the criminal." Philosophical discussions took place after claims were supported with evidence.

Fulmer Families,
Our Lost and Found is currently overflowing with items that students have left behind. If your child is missing a jacket, water bottle, lunch box, or any other personal item, please encourage them to stop by and check the Lost and Found.
We will be donating any unclaimed items to a local charity next week, so please be sure to claim anything that belongs to your child.
Thank you for your help in spreading the word!
