At a special called February 17 meeting, the Board of Trustees approved two Lexington Two administrators to interim positions.
Dr. Angela Cooper, Interim Superintendent
Stephanie Hucks, Interim Chief Human Resource and Organizational Development Officer
Dr. Cooper has been serving as Superintendent Designee since late November, following Superintendent Dr. Brenda Hafner’s retirement announcement. Dr. Cooper up until this time has also continued in her role as Chief Human Resource and Organizational Development Officer. She has nearly 24 years in K-12 Human Resources, 18 of those in Lexington Two, and has assisted informally in the district between superintendent hires in the past.
Ms. Hucks most recently served as the district’s Director of Human Resources, where her focus is partnering with district leadership to support staffing, recruiting, and retention. Prior to that, she was a math teacher, assistant principal, and principal at Busbee Creative Arts Academy, which during her tenure was recognized as a School to Watch, an ABC School of Distinction, and a Model PLC at Work School.
Both interim appointments are effective through the end of the current school year on June 30, 2026.
