About Me...

Growing up in a military family, I have lived in many places around the world.  I love music and spent my high school days marching in the band.  I majored in music in my undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina.  I continued marching band at USC and met my husband, Robbie, in the band.  We have one son, Sean, who will be starting in the USC Honors College in the Fall.  Sean and I enjoy a shared passion for video games.

After working in administrative positions at both the University of South Carolina and Florida State University, I decided to enter the teaching profession.  I taught one year of high school Latin before pursuing my Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina.  I was a middle school media specialist for Northside Middle School here in Lexington Two for 7 years before moving to my current position in 2013.

I serve as District Instructional Technology Coach.  I coordinate district-wide instructional technology professional development and our 1:1 mobile device program (K-12) which began fall of 2014.  I work with teachers to help them grow their practice and help administrators model best practices.  Throughout the year I meet with school-level Technology Integration Specialists (teachers who volunteer to be technology advocates and leaders in their school) to bring new skills, trends, and technology integration best practices.  I am happy to serve alongside Dr. Bridgett Wolfe, my fellow Instructional Technology Coach, as we work to build a strong foundation together with our teachers for the students of Lexington Two.
