49 students recognized as Junior Marshals

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Forty-nine Lexington Two students have been recognized as Junior Marshals.


Junior Marshals are selected based on class rank and represent the top 10 percent of the junior class, based on a weighted GPA cumulative through the third nine weeks of their junior year. They serve as honorary guides for the senior class at commencement.

Airport and Brookland-Cayce’s virtual commencements will be presented on Saturday, June 6, on WACH-Fox 57, with Brookland-Cayce’s event from 5-6pm, and Airport’s from 6-7pm.  Photography and videography events were held earlier this week at each high school to record each senior, in full cap and gown, individually crossing the graduation stages at their school stadiums in front of their families and receiving diploma covers from their principals. These photographs and videos, along with brief pre-recorded speeches from valedictorians, salutatorians, principals and other featured speakers, will be crafted into a presentation for each high school for the June 6 televised event. Each senior will receive a program and a copy of the televised graduation presentation for his/her school.
