Requirements for Student Medications
A written prescription is required for all medications, including over-the-counter medications, to be given in the school setting.
A parent’s/legal guardian’s written consent is also required.
All medications (including inhalers) are to be stored in the health room.
If a student needs to carry an emergency medication on his/her person, authorization forms completed and signed by the physician, parent, and student are required.

DHEC: Updated Guidance on COVID-19 School Exclusion Criteria
(March 2024 Report)The SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) has updated its COVID-19 school exclusion criteria. You can stay up to date with the latest guidance, as well as other DHEC information about COVID, by clicking this link. A full 5-day isolation period is no longer required. Anyone who receives a positive viral COVID-19 test with fever may return to school 24 hours after the fever has resolved (without the use of fever-reducing medicines) and symptoms are significantly improving.
