WEST COLUMBIA, SC – The safety of our Lexington Two students and employees is a top priority. To further strengthen safeguards already in place, we are adding for the 2022-2023 school year a new electronic system at our schools to better manage visitors entering district facilities.
Visitors will be asked to present an ID such as a driver’s license (for those without a US government-issued ID, other forms including state identification cards, concealed handgun licenses, military identification cards, and Green Cards will be accepted). Once entry is approved, visitors will be issued a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit. No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded, and the information is not shared with any other agency.
With our continued focus on safety, we expect to roll out additional measures during the school year and will communicate these with you.
