FAQs and summer school/office hours in Lexington Two

WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Lexington Two is once again operating on a four-day work week with extended hours during the summer.

Schools and administrative offices will be open to the public from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, beginning with the week of Monday, June 2.  Offices are closed on Friday.

Schools and offices will close on Thursday, July 3, for the holiday.

The district will resume its regular five-day work week on Monday, July 29.

Frequently Asked Questions During The Summer Months

Q: How can I register my child for the 2025-2026 school year?

A: The student registration process is completed online.

Whether you are a new or returning student, you will find student registration information – including required documents – by clicking this link

Q: The paperwork required to enroll my child for school is not in my name. What should I do?

A: Parents/legal guardians with special enrollment circumstances must make an advance appointment with Student Services by calling (803) 739-3141. Appointments, once made, will be at the Student Services office, 3205 Platt Springs Road. 

Q: We are new to the district. How can I find out which Lexington Two school my child is zoned for?

A: Call Tara Reed in the district office, (803) 796-4708, or use the Find My School feature by clicking this link.  

 

Q: Is the district offering free summer meals?

A: Yes, the district is once again offering free breakfast and lunch meals through a federally funded child nutrition program. Service begins the week of June 2. Click this link for all dates, times, locations, and meal options

Q: Does Lexington Two offer any summer camps?

A: Yes, we have a number of camps in June and July. Click this link for a list of camps.

 

Q: I worry about my child’s learning over the summer months. Do you have any suggested activities to keep him engaged?

A: As summer begins, don't forget that Lexington Two has partnered with Varsity Tutors to provide powerful learning resources at no cost to you or the district.  Varsity Tutors offers fun and engaging resources including weekly live online classes, on demand 24/7 chat tutoring, celebrity-led StarCourses, and self-study resources like recorded content, practice problems, and adaptive diagnostic tests.  These resources can help students keep this year's learning fresh and help prepare them for next year.
