WEST COLUMBIA, SC -- Airport High’s Golden Talon drill team took top honors at the South Carolina Army JROTC State Drill Team Championship.
The competition was held this past weekend at the Lexington Two school.
Airport took first or second place in several categories -- including first place overall. Other awards include:
- Regulation Armed Squad - 1st place
- Armed Inspection - 1st place
- Regulation Unarmed Platoon - 1st place
- Regulation Armed Platoon - 1st place
- Regulation Armed Squad - 1st place
- Armed Inspection - 1st place
- Armed Squad Exhibition - 1st place
- Armed Solo - 1st place
- Armed Duel Exhibition - 1st place
- Regulation Unarmed Squad - 2nd place
- Regulation Unarmed Squad - 2nd place
- Unarmed Squad Exhibition - 2nd place
- Solo place - 3rd place
- Color Guard - 3rd place
