WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. -- More than 30 Airport High School cheerleading alums and coaches will be back at school the night of February 8 for a special Cheer Night.
The gathering at Airport High is scheduled before the Airport vs. Brookland-Cayce basketball game. A reception kicks off the event at 6 p.m. in the fieldhouse, followed by the game in the arena.
Former Airport cheerleaders and coaches will be recognized at halftime, and will join current cheerleaders for the alma mater and school fight song. Organizer Beth Ruff said there will be prizes, too, including one for the cheerleader who has traveled the farthest to attend the Airport event and one for the family with the most Airport cheer alums.
The public is invited.
