Lexington Two welcomes several new members of the district and school administrative teams, along with administrators moving into new roles, for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
New school-level teachers and staff members will be posted on school social media over the summer.
DISTRICT OFFICE
Dr. Angela Cooper, Superintendent
Dr. Angela Cooper first served as Superintendent Designee then as Interim Superintendent before being selected for the permanent post. Dr. Cooper has worked in K-12 education for more than 25 years, 20 of those in Lexington Two. She most recently served as Chief Human Resource and Organizational Development Officer. She was selected in fall 2025 as the national Personnel Administrator of the Year Award by the American Association of School Personnel Administrators, as well as South Carolina School Administrator of the Year by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA). She has supported learning in the classroom with a laser focus on attracting and retaining the best teachers, a critical factor impacting overall student achievement. She also has expanded alternative certification pathways, developed growth and support systems for new educators, and focused on retention across the district. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology/education from Lander University, a Master of Human Resource Development from Clemson University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a focus in human resources from Nova Southeastern University.
Stephanie Hucks, Interim Chief Human Resource and Organizational Development Officer
Stephanie Hucks most recently served as the district’s Director of Human Resources, where her focus was partnering with district leadership to support staffing, recruitment, and retention. Prior to that, she was a math teacher, assistant principal, and principal at Busbee Creative Arts Academy, which during her tenure was recognized as a School to Watch, an ABC School of Distinction, and a Model PLC at Work School. Ms. Hucks received a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University, a master’s in administration from Southern Wesleyan University, and a M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina.
SCHOOL AND OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
Dr. Jonathan Abney, Assistant Principal, Wood Elementary
Dr. Johnathan Abney is an experienced elementary school principal and organizational leader with more than 19 years of service in public education. Most recently, he served as Principal of Gallman Elementary School with Newberry County Schools, where he provided strategic leadership for a Title I school focused on student achievement, instructional excellence, and continuous school improvement. Prior to that, he served as an assistant principal and classroom teacher at Windsor Elementary School in Richland 2. Throughout his career, Dr. Abney has demonstrated strong leadership in instructional supervision, data-informed decision making, staff development, school operations, MTSS implementation, and family and community engagement. A National Board Certified Teacher, Dr. Abney has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Lander University, and an M.Ed. in educational administration and Doctor of Education in organizational leadership with an emphasis in K-12 leadership, both from Grand Canyon University.
Sean Bech, Assistant Principal, Busbee Creative Arts Academy
Sean Bech is a familiar face at Busbee, currently serving as a seventh grade math teacher. He first came to Lexington Two in 2009 as a math teacher at Northside Middle School, then moved to Riverbank Elementary in August 2018, where he taught fourth grade and fifth grade until moving to Busbee in 2025. He began his career in education as a fourth grade teacher with Duval County Public Schools in Florida in 2005. He has an associate degree from Florida State College, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, and a master’s degree from Grand Canyon University.
Britney Bundrick, Wood Elementary School
Britney Bundrick most recently was a third grade teacher at Springdale Elementary School, where she had served since 2021 and was named Teacher of the Year in 2024. Mrs. Bundrick is coming back to a familiar place in Wood Elementary, where she started her education career in 2011 and taught for four years. She later taught at Saxe Gotha Elementary in Lexington One. Since joining Lexington Two, she has served as a Guiding Coalition and Team Lead from 2022-2026 and has contributed to the district as a Launch teacher, SC Teaching Standards 4.0 Evaluator, Title One District Planning Committee member, School Improvement Council member, cooperating teacher, and Lex 2 Grows member. She has also helped write district curriculum for five years. Mrs. Bundrick has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the College of Charleston and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Rebecca Burriss, Principal, Pine Ridge Middle School
Rebecca Burriss held a number of leadership positions at her most recent school, Busbee Creative Arts Academy, among them assistant principal since 2023 as well as Administrative Assistant and ELA department head, which were her first roles when she arrived at Busbee in 2022. She supported schoolwide priorities with a primary focus on instruction, testing, and daily operations. She implemented schoolwide clubs in 2022 and was the lead for the Schools to Watch Focus Committee and a member of the Model PLC at Work School. She began her education career as an English teacher at Branchville High School in 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Clemson University, a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Claflin University, and a master’s in Educational Administration and Leadership from Columbia College.
Rhoda Chatman, Assistant Principal, Pine Ridge Middle School
Rhoda Chatman most recently served as Assistant Principal at John P. Thomas Elementary School in Richland One, where she supported daily school operations, teacher development, special education compliance, student services, and school-wide systems. Her career also includes previously roles as a school counselor, teacher, case manager, and director of school counseling and advisement across multiple Lexington County school districts, among them Lexington-Richland 5 (Ballentine Elementary, CrossRoads Intermediate, Dutch Fork Middle), Lexington One (Pleasant Hill Middle), as well as an earlier role in Lexington Two as a teacher/case manager at New Bridge Academy. She started her education career as a teacher at Denmark-Olar Elementary School in Bamberg County School District. Mrs. Chatman has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and Master of Education degree in counselor education, both from SC State University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College.
Melissa Collins, Wood Elementary School
Melissa Collins joined Lexington Two in 2025 and most recently served as a fifth grade teacher at Riverbank Elementary School. Prior to that, she served as a special education teacher at CS112 The Bronxwood School and previously taught sixth grade at Icahn Charter School 6, where she also held leadership roles supporting professional learning, data analysis, curriculum planning, and teacher development. Since joining Lexington Two, she has provided standards-aligned instruction in fifth grade math and science, using data-driven and differentiated strategies to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans. She is currently participating in the Lex2 Grows Leadership Development Cohort. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in elementary education, both from Quinnipiac University, and a master’s from the American College of Education.
Alicia Dickerson, Principal, Busbee Creative Arts Academy
Alicia Dickerson served as Interim Principal at Busbee for the 2025-2026 school year before being appointed to the permanent post. An experienced educator with more than 25 years of service in Lexington Two, Ms. Dickerson has worked with students and families across several schools, including as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Brookland-Cayce High and as an English teacher at Brookland-Cayce, Northside Middle School, Airport High School, and Gilbert High School. A graduate of Lexington Two schools, Ms. Dickerson has a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College and a master’s in education from Capella University, and she is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at Gardner-Webb University. Her focus is on building relationships, setting high expectations, and supporting students in and out of the classroom.
Gerald Henry, Director, Transportation Office
Gerald Henry brings more than five years of experience in school transportation operations, personnel support, safety communication, and policy compliance. Most recently serving as Transportation Coordinator with Lexington 1 and previously with Richland 1, he has supported daily transportation operations, promoted school bus safety, assisted with employee training and development, and served as a district and outside agency liaison. Mr. Henry has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Morris College and completed additional coursework in agribusiness operations at SC State University. completed additional coursework in Agribusiness Operations at South Carolina State University.
Julie Miller, Assistant Director, New Bridge Academy
Julie Miller has held several leadership positions in Lexington Two, most recently as Assistant Principal at Busbee Creative Arts Academy and, before that, at Airport High School, Administrator for the Virtual Academy, and Assistant Administrator at Brookland-Cayce High School. Prior to that, she was an Assistant Principal of Instruction at Edisto High School, where she provided instructional leadership and helped develop and launch the school’s Next Gen Magnet Program. She is committed to supporting students, staff, and school communities through collaborative leadership and continuous improvement. Ms. Miller has a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in secondary education from Winthrop University, and an M.Ed. in educational administration from the University of South Carolina.
Andrew Price, Principal, Wood Elementary School
Andrew Price is a familiar face at Wood, having served as an Assistant Principal there for the past four years. He started his education career in 2014 with Lexington Two as a PE teacher at the former Brookland Cayce Grammar School No. 1, later Riverbank Elementary. Price has led with a deep commitment to students, staff, and school improvement, including being named Teacher of the Year twice, mentoring induction teachers, leading PBIS efforts, and contributing as a team leader, cohort facilitator, School Improvement Council representative, Standards-Based Grading Committee member, as well as District Physical Education Liaison. At Wood, he has served as both an instructional and operational leader, helping guide schoolwide efforts to improve attendance and strengthen discipline systems to create a safe and positive learning environment. Price has a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.
Robert Stogner, Educational Facilitator, Three Rivers
Robert Stogner is an experienced educator, coach and school leader, most recently serving as Assistant Director at Lexington Two’s New Bridge Academy, where he began working in 2022. Prior to that, he was a history teacher at Chapin High School, and held similar teaching positions at Lugoff-Elgin High School in Kershaw County, and at Lexington High School, Lexington Middle School, and White Knoll Middle School, all in Lexington 1. He started his education career as an LD Resource teacher at Stephens County High School in Georgia. He received a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop and Wingate University and his M.Ed. from Fort Hays State University.
