As a reminder, to ensure a secure testing environment, all wearable technology is strictly prohibited during testing. This includes, but is not limited to:
Smartwatches and fitness trackers.
Any sort of Smartphone
Smart glasses (e.g., Ray-Ban Meta, Xreal, Google Glass)
Bluetooth-enabled ear apparel or "hidden" earpieces
While we recognize that some smart glasses are fitted with prescription lenses, they remain a high-level security risk due to integrated cameras, microphones, and AI capabilities. Students who require corrective lenses must wear standard, non-electronic eyewear during the exam.
If a student only possesses smart eyewear on the day of the exam, they will not be permitted to wear them. They may choose to test without the glasses (if possible) or forfeit their testing session and reschedule under the standard test makeup policy.
Proctors reserve the right to inspect any eyewear that appears to have unusually thick temples (arms), visible lenses in the frame corners, or charging ports BUT failure of a student to remove OR disclose that they wearing technology in the testing environment will be treated as a disciplinary action
Any attempt to use the recording or communication features of such a device during an exam will result in immediate consequences up to and leading to suspension or recommendation for expulsion for failure to follow a directive.
